Super Bowl LVII, in which Kansas City and Philadelphia met, set a record viewership in 2023 with 115 million viewers in the United States. Sporting events dominate the top 50 most-watched prime-time telecasts, with the Super Bowl clearly leading the way. By comparison, the Oscars came in much lower on the rankings. The Super Bowl’s viewership is so high that only the moon landing has surpassed it.
