Meta is introducing new privacy options for EU users in response to the upcoming Digital Markets Act (DMA) legislation that will come into force in March. Users will now be able to segregate their Facebook, Instagram and Messenger accounts, meaning their data from these platforms will be stored in isolation and not shared through Meta’s Account Centre. The move strengthens users’ control over their data and offers greater flexibility in managing their social media presence.
