As part of this effort, Meta is preparing for the 2024 European Parliament elections and plans to activate an Electoral Operations Centre that will identify potential threats and take mitigation measures in real t i m e . Meta has the largest fact- checking network of any platform and is expanding it with new partners in Bulgaria, France and Slovakia. The company is also committed to a responsible approach to new technologies such as generative AI, and has signed an agreement to combat the spread of misleading AI-generated content in elections.
