Meta Enforces AI Labeling for Political & Social Ads

Meta has introduced Meta AI ad rules for Facebook and Instagram, requiring labels on digitally altered ads, especially for political and social topics. Such ads must now be specifically labelled to ensure greater transparency and user awareness.

When you set up ads in these categories, a new checkbox appears that allows you to mark content as digitally modified. If these rules are not followed, Meta may remove or disable the ads in question. These new requirements help protect users from misleading content and allow brands to update their existing campaigns to the new guidelines.
