YouTube Tests New Desktop Layout with Bigger Recommendations

YouTube is redesigning the desktop version of its site, with “Recommendations” now taking up a larger portion of the screen and positioned below the player.
Video descriptions and comments have been moved to the right-hand side. This new version is currently in a testing phase and is not available to all users.

Those who have already tried the new design are criticizing it and looking for ways to return to the original look. Some users also point out the similarity to the Twitch platform design. The move suggests that YouTube is experimenting with design elements that could improve the user experience, but at the same time it has to face feedback from its community.
